With the development of social issues, more and more people began to keep pets. Since pets are the emotional support of people when they are lonely, they can meet people's psychological needs, but pets are not human beings after all, and since life expectancy is generally only 10-15 years, excluding the causes of disease, the death of pets is a issue.
After learning from research that some people will not accept the death of their pets and will be very uncomfortable about it, I designed a combination of hardware and software products so that the loss of pet owners can be a virtual coexistence of a faster way to adjust to the death of pets.
Pet Loss Syndrome is a person's grief over the loss (including death, loss, and critical illness) of a pet with which he has established an emotional connection. This grief is no less than the loss of an important family and friend. More than that.
I find my users on social platforms and invite them to be my project objects, hoping their experience can help more people.

I invite my users to carry out a collaborative workshop. As a support group, everyone here shares their stories with their pets and brainstorms together to find the points they need.

I made the prototype of this product through the combination of software and hardware. Arduino and unity are the core of the prototype test. Vuforia is an AR part in unity. I used Rhino to make the model part and 3D printed it. The internal space made a simple structure. Finally connect to the computer for testing.



I invited four users to test my product, hoping to get their opinions in order to continue improving the design in the future. I will summarize the good aspects, bad aspects, user expectations and ratings.

This project is more complete, includinghow to find users, how to finddesign points from their needs, andthen to my own organization of anonline CO-workshop is an experiencefor myself, and later also tried to dotheir own technology, and alone to assembleand test a good model.
At the same time, I regret that many technical things are not well implemented,
such as machine learning, which I want to integrate into the AR pet and gesture control but did not complete these things, as well as the fact that animal action research is not thorough enough and animal modeling is not real enough, which is something the later learning process needs to pay attention to.
